WSP USA serves public agencies and private clients throughout New Jersey. The firm offers a full range of services, including strategic advisory, planning, environmental, program management, community outreach, engineering, construction management and operations & maintenance, for all types of infrastructure. WSP is currently at work on scores of assignments throughout New Jersey, including roadways, bridges, transit systems, airports, buildings, power and energy, and environmental remediation projects. An industry leader since its founding in 1885, the firm has made major contributions to the infrastructure of New Jersey, including countless road and bridge projects. The firm served as general engineering consultant for the development of the Garden State Parkway in the 1950s, and also made significant contributions to the New Jersey Turnpike, the Bergen-Passaic Expressway, and the Atlantic City Expressway. The firm also contributed to the development of the Hudson-Bergen light rail and has completed a variety of projects at Newark International Airport, Port Newark and other facilities of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Recent and current projects include planning and engineering for Amtrak’s Gateway Program for a new Hudson River tunnel from New Jersey to Penn Station, New York; the Rutgers University School of Business building in Piscataway; the design of the new Manahawkin Bay Bridge from Stafford Township to Long Beach Island; construction inspection of the I-95 Scudders Fall Bridge; construction management of Newark Airport’s Terminal A Replacement; PSE&G Micro-tunneling design; rehabilitation of the Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge between New Jersey and Pennsylvania; planning and design for the Bayonne Bridge Navigational Clearance Project; design of the rehabilitation of the Pulaski Skyway between Jersey City and Newark; section design and project wide CM for the widening of a 35-mile stretch (Interchange 6 to 9) of the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington and Middlesex counties; the replacement of the Bear Tavern Road and Jacobs Creek bridges in Mercer County; the reconstruction of the Mathis Bridge carrying Route 37 over Barnegat Bay; the Route 23 Realignment in Sussex Borough; the design of a five-mile section of the Delaware River Heritage Trail in Burlington County; the design of a replacement for the Route 31 Bridge over Furnace Brook in Oxford Township; development of guidelines and training on complete streets; and a channel recovery and maintenance program across six counties. WSP employs a staff of 270 engineers and technical specialists who work from offices in Newark and Lawrenceville. Over 600 of our staff live in the State of New Jersey.
